Trinity University partners with JoBayan to ensure employment for graduates
To provide more job opportunities for Trinitian graduates, Trinity University of Asia (TUA), an educational institution known for its goal of “transforming learners to leaders” and for its consistent excellent performance in board exams of recent memory, signed on February 14, 2018 a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Sterling Innovate Corporation’s job search platform JoBayan. The MOA, signed by TUA President Wilfred U. Tiu and Sterling Innovate Corporation VP for Sales, Marketing and Business Development Christian Blanquera perfectly reflects TUA’s goal of helping its graduates find the right jobs in a shorter period and with less hassle.
Asked on the long-term benefit of the partnership, TUA Global Education and Industry Relations Office (GEIRO) OIC Caleb Donne Coniate says “It is beneficial for both Trinity University and JoBayan. That JoBayan is backed by a big company such as Sterling is a given, but it is the noble implications of the partnership that we want to emphasize. With this partnership, JoBayan, on the one hand, can help their kababayan Trinitians by matching them with the right potential employers while Trinity University, on the other hand, will be able assess the needs of the industries based on the Trinitian employment summaries JoBayan will be forwarding to us so we can make necessary adjustments in our academic curriculum.”
The said MOA also provides for JoBayan creating an alumni tracker which will be hooked on the TUA official website. Each Trinitian graduate visiting the website will spend only a few minutes to answer a few questions that will update their alma mater on their present employment and contact details. The said tracker will be launched on May 11 during TUA’s 2018 Job Fair.
Both TUA and JoBayan are now looking forward to exploring more ways to maximize their partnership and to serve their bayan and their mga kababayan.
