Cagayan Valley that designates as Region II and composes of five provinces, lies mostly in a large valley in Northeastern Luzon. The economy grew by 4.1% in 2015 but landed on the third slowest growing regions in the country in 2016. The slower growth is attributed in the slowdown ofthe Service sector and the decline in the Agriculture, Hunting, Forestry, and Fisheries (AHFF) sector. Nevertheless, the Service sector remains to be the biggest contributor to the economy making it more available for job seeker to search for opportunity in the service sector. Despite questioning the identity of the region as Service region, it is still considered as agricultural for its position as a top producer of rice and corn.
